Terms of Service for Rolemate Ltd

By registering for, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You represent that you are at least 18 years old or have legal authority to enter into this agreement.

Rolemate offers an online platform that allows Users to:

- Create profiles containing their professional, educational, and training background.

- Generate a skills-based profile that is searchable by potential employers.

- Connect with potential employers for employment opportunities through the Platform.

While we provide a platform to facilitate connections between Users and employers, Rolemate Ltd is not responsible for any employment contracts, offers, or transactions made between Users and employers.

Account Creation:

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account by providing accurate and up-to-date information, including your name, email address, and other requested details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Profile Information:

By creating an account, you agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information. You also agree to keep your profile information current. Misrepresentation or fraudulent activity may result in suspension or termination of your account.

As a User of Rolemate, you agree to the following:

- Use of the Platform: You will use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behavior.

- No Misuse: You will not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform, nor will you use the Platform to harass, defame, or harm other Users or third parties.

- Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the Platform, including employment and data protection laws.

Employers using Rolemates Platform agree to:

- Use the Platform to search for potential candidates in good faith and for legitimate employment purposes.

- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of candidate profiles, including not sharing or using their information for purposes outside the scope of the employment process.

- Only initiate contact with candidates through the Platform.

Rolemate may charge fees for certain features or services offered on the Platform. If any fees apply, they will be clearly stated, and you will be required to agree to such fees before using the service. All payments are final, and any applicable fees are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated by law or these Terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time for any reason, including if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

You may also terminate your account at any time by following the instructions within the Platform. Any information you provided may be retained by us as described in our Privacy Policy.

We strive to remove personally identifiable information (PII) from your profile in employer search results, but you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide does not disclose your PII where you do not wish it to.

All content, design, software, and other materials available on the Platform are owned or licensed by Rolemate Ltd and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any of the Platforms materials for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

- No Liability for Employment Outcomes: Rolemate Ltd is not liable for any employment decisions, offers, or contracts made between Users and employers. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes or employment opportunities from using the Platform.

- No Liability for User-Generated Content: We are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or legality of any information posted by Users on the Platform. You assume all risks associated with the information you choose to provide or interact with on the Platform.

- No Warranty: The Platform is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rolemate Ltd, its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of a third party.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of New Zealand.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If changes are made, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the 'Effective Date' at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
